Did you know that emperor penguins are the tallest penguin.

hi, my name is Tom and this is my penguin report

An emperor penguin weighs up to 23 kg and can grow up to 1.1 – 1.3 m
Emperor penguin colors are black white and yellow. A penguin's body is covered in feathers but on the wings they have no feathers and Penguins are birds.

Most penguins live in cold places like the south pole, and some penguins live in hot places like nz Australia and south america. Most penguins make their nest on rocks or they have no nest.


Penguins have many enemies from the size of a killer whale to the size of hawks. The most common enemy any south pole penguin would have is a sea leopard or a seal.

An Emperor Penguins favorite food are fish and squid. All penguins find their food in the sea because that is where all the fish are. Penguins are carnivores that means they only eat meat.


Did you know the penguins can not see well on land and see very well in water. Here is one more fun fact, did you know that Blue penguins go fishing at night and sleep all day.

Jolly Jolly Jars

This term, our Project Based Learning (PBL) started with the teachers putting us into groups. In these groups we had to work collaboratively to create Jolly Jars for the school fair. This task helped us to begin exploring our PBL question for the term - How can we  build community through our actions? We had to research ideas, be creative with our product, experiment with our materials and write instructions that could be followed by others.

I learnt that instructions need to look good, have steps and do words and have to have a title.



Reflection on PBL:

For our Jolly Jar group we did pencil toppers. my groups pencil toppers look really good. At the end of the story there is a picture that has all our pencil toppers.



I contributed to my group by asking them what they want to do, helping them with their instructions and making their logo for them.



Our Jolly Jar was creative because we work together to bring stuff in and help each other.



What I learned about working with others Is it  is fun because you get to work in groups and see what other people Ideas are.



How did we build community through our actions? by making jolly jars to helping raise money for the new bike track for the community.

School Fair 2020😜


On Sunday the 8Th of March our school had a Fair. Me, Maks and Dad got to the fair at 12:30. The Fair did start at 11:00 but I had soccer Trills from 10:30 to 11:30. When we got there I was so like Mined Blown. there was so much thing to do. we had Kid  Tickets to woes on 10 things But there was like 20 thing to do. the First thing I did was the Maze. It was Free if you had a Kids Tickets. in the maze you had to look for Letters and make it in to a word. I gave up and when I went to the Poison some one came up and said "  Is the word amazing." and he a s right. so I Just put my paper in the Box.








At the Fair I saw venom and he said " have you seen spider-man a Luke. I said " wait what there is Spider-man and Luke. so me and Dad started to look for Spider-man and Luke. The Dad said here is 2 Two Dollie 50 and go in the Hall and Buy some thing and the we have to go. so I got A panting and a A neck thing so then we had to go. so that was the School Fair.
